About The Position
The Physical Therapist will work in Munson Medical Center’s inpatient rehabilitation and acute care units in partnership with Mary Free Bed. The role is responsible for assessing patients’ physical therapy needs and planning and carrying out individualized treatment plans in accordance with Michigan licensure requirements and the physical therapy scope of practice. The therapist also provides patients and their families with education and support, including written instructions as needed, and works with department and interdepartmental teams to improve processes and clinical treatment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
- State of Michigan Physical Therapy License.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ needs for physical therapy.
- Plan and execute individual treatment plans in accordance with Michigan licensure requirements and the physical therapy scope of practice.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, including written instructions as necessary.
- Collaborate within the department and across departments to improve processes and clinical treatment.
