About The Position

The Physical Therapist works in Rehabilitation Services at Ascension St John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This PRN, day-schedule role performs initial and ongoing assessments of patients, develops and evaluates appropriate plans of care in collaboration with patients and families, and provides physical therapy interventions using standard techniques and skills. The therapist also oversees physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel.

Requirements

BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
Physical Therapist (RPT) credential from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision obtained before hire or job transfer. A temporary Physical Therapist letter is accepted until the license is issued.
Bachelor's degree required.
No work experience required.

Nice To Haves

Master's or Doctorate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients' conditions.
Establish, revise, and evaluate plans of care appropriate to identified problems, involving the patient and family.
Perform therapy interventions using standard physical therapy techniques and skills appropriate to the patient's condition.
Oversee the activities of physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel.
