About The Position

This is a travel, temporary assignment in a school-based setting for a Physical Therapist. The assignment is located in Roseburg, Oregon, and is expected to last approximately 43 weeks, from August 17, 2026, through June 2027. The role involves providing pediatric physical therapy services to students across various age groups, including birth-to-3 home visits, preschool (ages 3-5), and general school-age services up to high school. The position is Monday-Friday, day shift, with an expectation of 40 hours per week, though pay is only for hours worked and does not include school holidays or closings.

Requirements

  • Active Physical Therapist license in Oregon (OR PT) or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (or equivalent) with eligibility for Oregon licensure
  • Pediatric or school-based therapy experience preferred; ability to work with birth-to-3 home visits and preschool (ages 3–5) populations
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills; ability to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel
  • Ability to work in a school setting and conduct home visits as described; comfortable with documentation through standard systems
  • Must meet any required clearances and background checks typical for school-based work and be able to obtain required certifications

Responsibilities

  • Deliver physical therapy evaluations, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions for students in a school-based setting
  • Implement and adjust individualized therapy plans to support students across birth-to-3 home visits and preschool (ages 3–5) programs, as applicable to the position
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and related service providers to set goals, monitor progress, and document outcomes
  • Maintain accurate therapy documentation, maintain equipment safety, and ensure infection control and safety standards are followed
  • Communicate progress and recommendations with families and multidisciplinary teams; participate in team meetings and case conferences as needed
  • Adhere to applicable state licensure requirements and school district policies; complete required credentialing and ongoing professional development
