About The Position

Aquacare and Fitness Forum Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist - CLINICAL DIRECTOR for their Milford, Delaware office. This is a leadership opportunity within a physical-therapist-owned private practice that has been operating for over 27 years with 12 clinics across Maryland and Delaware. The Clinic Director is responsible for the overall performance of their clinic, including quality of care, patient experience, financial and operational health, and team engagement. While the director leads the clinic, they are supported by a leadership and support team for billing, marketing, hiring, and operations, with direct access to the owner. The role emphasizes a balance between leadership responsibilities and direct patient care, allowing clinicians to build something while still treating patients.

Requirements

  • Full-time Physical Therapist
  • Clinical Director experience or demonstrated leadership potential
  • Ability to treat patients directly
  • Willingness to manage clinic operations and staff
  • Experience with general outpatient orthopedics
  • Must be able to bring forward issues and help build solutions
  • Must have a real caseload
  • Must have hours set aside for admin work
  • Must be able to work alongside therapists, PTAs, and techs
  • Must be able to treat post-surgical knees, lymphedema, vestibular cases, pelvic floor, and a mix of ages and diagnoses.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the CEO of the clinic, owning its performance, quality of care, patient experience, financial and operational health, and team management.
  • Act as the chief culture officer, ensuring the team is engaged, supported, and performing at their best.
  • Treat patients, with a caseload of fewer than 11 patients per day, one-on-one, and no productivity quota.
  • Manage administrative tasks, with approximately 30 minutes of scheduled non-treatment time built into each day.
  • Collaborate with the leadership and support team on billing, marketing, hiring, and operations.
  • Bring forward issues and help build solutions.
  • Work alongside 6-8 therapists and additional PTAs and techs.
  • Specialize in areas such as orthopedics, manual therapy, pain science, dry needling, pelvic floor, lymphedema, aquatic therapy, balance and vestibular, neurologic rehabilitation, dance rehabilitation, or sports rehabilitation.
