About The Position

KORT Physical Therapy is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant for its outpatient orthopedic center at Old Brownsboro Crossing in Louisville, Kentucky. The assistant provides patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist, implementing physical therapy services for patients, caregivers, and facilities in accordance with applicable practice standards and Select Medical policies and procedures. The clinical team treats patients of all ages and abilities and aims to maximize functionality and support optimal outcomes.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
• Current students must have an outpatient clinical rotation.
• Practicing clinicians must have outpatient experience within the last three years.
• Pass a national examination for physical therapist assistants certified by CAPTE.
• Valid state physical therapist assistant license, or license in process.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist, as required by the State Practice Act.
• Implement high-quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers, and facilities, with minimal supervision and in accordance with physical therapy principles and practices and Select Medical policies and procedures.
• Maintain positive interactions with centers and patients and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
