About The Position

KORT is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant (PTA) for an outpatient orthopedic center. The PTA provides care to patients of all ages and abilities as part of a clinical team focused on maximizing functionality and achieving optimal patient outcomes. The role floats throughout the Louisville market and provides patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist, in accordance with the State Practice Act and Select Medical policies and procedures. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday. Compensation starts at $23.50 per hour and ranges to $26.00 per hour and up, commensurate with experience. Potential sign-on bonuses and a student debt relief program are available. Benefits described are for full-time employees working at least 32 hours per week.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
For practicing clinicians, outpatient orthopedic experience within the last five years.
For current students, an outpatient clinical rotation.
Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by CAPTE.
Valid state physical therapist assistant license or license in process.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist, as required by the State Practice Act.
Implement high-quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers, and facilities with minimal supervision, in accordance with physical therapy principles and practices and Select Medical policies and procedures.
Maintain positive interactions with centers and patients.
Enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
Float throughout the Louisville market.
