About The Position

KORT is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant for an outpatient orthopedic center. The PTA will provide care to patients of all ages and abilities, helping maximize functionality and achieve optimal outcomes. The position floats throughout the Louisville market and works under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist, as required by the State Practice Act. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule and compensation starting at $25.00 per hour, with a range of $25.00–$30.00 per hour and higher compensation commensurate with experience. Potential sign-on bonuses and a student debt relief program are noted. Benefits described apply to full-time employees working 32 or more hours per week.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
For practicing clinicians, outpatient orthopedic experience within the last five years.
For current students, an outpatient clinical rotation.
Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by CAPTE.
Valid state physical therapist assistant license or license in process.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist, as mandated by the State Practice Act.
Implement high-quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers, and facilities with minimal supervision, consistent with physical therapy principles and practices and Select Medical policies and procedures.
Maintain positive interactions with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
