In its Skilled Nursing setting, Physical Therapist Assistants work with an interdisciplinary team serving a diverse geriatric population and collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and families.

The Physical Therapist Assistant evaluates and treats patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological events, cardiac conditions, and general deconditioning. The role involves developing individualized treatment plans and helping patients achieve functional outcomes and return to their highest level of independence. Clinical judgment is respected, and structured mentorship is available for new graduates.

Requirements

• Associate's degree from an accredited PT program.
• Current or eligibility for a Connecticut State PTA license.
• Passion for geriatric rehabilitation and functional outcomes.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
