Physical Therapist Assistant – Flexible Pediatric Caseload
About The Position
MedCare Pediatric is hiring a Home Health Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant to provide personalized, one-on-one care to children in their homes, daycares, and schools. The role delivers therapy under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist and follows physician-approved plans of care. It offers flexible scheduling and a collaborative, purpose-driven team environment, with support for professional growth and quality patient care. Full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities are available; compensation may be hourly, salary, or per visit. The stated hourly pay range is $35–$40.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
- Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain licensure by the anticipated start date.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience is preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Pediatric experience is preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist and in accordance with physician-approved plans of care.
- Implement treatment plans to improve strength, balance, mobility, coordination, range of motion, endurance, gait, and functional independence.
- Educate and train families and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, positioning, mobility techniques, and home programs.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated, high-quality patient care.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
