About The Position

MedCare Pediatric is seeking a Home Health Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide personalized, one-on-one physical therapy to children in their homes, daycares, and schools. The PTA works under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist and carries out physician-approved plans of care. The role offers flexible scheduling, a collaborative team environment, and support for professional growth. Full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities are available, with hourly, salary, or per-visit compensation options. The stated hourly pay range is $35–$40.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain licensure by the anticipated start date.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience is preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Pediatric experience is preferred.
Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with physician-approved plans of care.
Implement treatment plans to improve strength, balance, mobility, coordination, range of motion, endurance, gait, and functional independence.
Educate and train families and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, positioning, mobility techniques, and home programs.
Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
