About The Position

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), under the direction of a Physical Therapist, provides therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position’s qualifications, professional practices, and ethical standards. The PTA implements treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists and supports patient evaluation and progress monitoring. The position may require limited travel, typically less than 10%, as needed. Requirements

Associate degree.
0–1 years of experience.
Must have and maintain current, valid state PTA licensure or certification.

Nice To Haves

Current valid CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation.
Observe patient responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings and concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy and progress.
Instruct patients and their families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to support continued progress at home.
Support Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress by providing additional observations and insights.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Perform other duties as assigned.
