About The Position
Arvin Post Acute is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join its rehabilitation team at a skilled nursing facility in Arvin, California, in the Bakersfield area. The PTA works hands-on with patients to carry out physical therapy plans developed by licensed Physical Therapists. The role supports patients recovering from illness, surgery, or injury by promoting mobility, function, and quality of life.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Active California PTA license.
- CPR certification.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Document patient progress and communicate updates to the therapy team.
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and medical staff to ensure coordinated care.
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and facility policies.
