About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Physical Collateral Examination Associate within Wells Fargo Commercial Banking Team. The territory is based in Austin, Texas or Round Rock, Texas. The candidate must live in the assigned territory for efficiency purposes or be willing to relocate. For this territory, the candidate must live north of Highway 183 and Highway 290. In this role, you will participate in audits of floor plan inventory at various dealerships and companies, perform physical inspections of dealer inventories and reconcile with business records through effective communications with account managers, and review approval requests to ensure completion of all operating and action measures within established timeframes. You will also inspect the physical existence of collateral and verify the borrowers' records to determine adherence to the approved loan structure. You will receive direction from a supervisor to ensure accurate responses on customer inquiries and disputes, and reconcile discrepancies with the customer, documenting details to support final inventory inspection results. You will exercise judgment in determining the cause of discrepancies and disposing of any variances, and assess the condition of collateral with prompt and accurate reporting to confirm the collateralized position. You will collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals, and build relationships with customers by setting inspection expectations, answering questions, providing support with payment systems, and raising customer growth inquiries to commercial and portfolio teams. You will schedule and route daily travel to customer locations within an assigned geographic area, incorporating overnight stays to reduce travel time for optimum productivity. You will perform physical inspections of commercial business inventories to assess their condition to provide prompt and accurate reporting. You will also be involved in responding to customer inquiries, questions, documentation issues, billing errors, disputes, and program changes.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of Collateral Examination experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
