About The Position

The Photography Intern will work directly with the Manager of Multimedia Production and the Multimedia Department, with an emphasis on matchday coverage of FC Dallas and North Texas SC home matches. The internship provides students with an overview of the daily operations of a Major League Soccer multimedia department and hands-on experience with a professional sports organization for future work in photojournalism, digital media, or communications. The internship runs from January through May 2027. Candidate hours are flexible to accommodate school or work schedules, although some nights, weekends, and holidays are required.

Requirements

• Be an active college student; college credit is required.
• Be pursuing a degree in photojournalism, digital media, communications, or a related field.
• Have demonstrated photography and photo editing experience; an online portfolio is required.
• Be deadline-driven and able to work under pressure across multiple projects.
• Have flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Be eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Strong understanding of digital and social media practices, including metadata.
• Proficiency in photography techniques, including lighting and camera positioning.

Responsibilities

• Photograph FC Dallas and North Texas SC home matches and organization events, including camps, tournaments, and National Soccer Hall of Fame events.
• Edit, crop, and enhance photographs using photo editing software.
• Update and maintain a cloud-based photo database.
• Support department communications initiatives on matchdays.
• Ensure equipment is in proper working order.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
