About The Position

The Academy Video Analysis Intern assists the Performance Analysis department and FC Dallas Academy staff with daily operations of the performance environment. The role supports video capture, editing, and analysis across Academy training sessions and matches. The internship provides hands-on experience with a professional sports organization in sports performance analysis and digital media. Hours are flexible to accommodate school or work schedules, with some nights, weekends, and holidays required. The internship runs January through June 2027.

Requirements

• Active college student; college credit is required.
• Hard-working, dedicated, and passionate about soccer.
• Able to take initiative and maintain professionalism in a professional sports environment.
• Deadline-driven, with the ability to work under pressure across multiple projects.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and access to a personal vehicle.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on the match schedule.

Nice To Haves

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Soccer background in playing, coaching, or analysis.
• Pursuing a degree in a job-relevant field.
• Knowledge of Major League Soccer, FC Dallas, and the youth soccer academy landscape.

Responsibilities

• Assist video analysis staff with setting up and preparing recording equipment before training sessions.
• Ensure cameras, drones, and supporting technology are calibrated and ready for use.
• Operate a drone to record designated portions of Academy training sessions.
• Monitor recording equipment during sessions to ensure complete and accurate footage capture.
• Manage and maintain video equipment after each session.
• Download and organize video clips in coordination with the Performance Analysis department, senior technical staff, and Academy coaching staff.
• Edit specific clips and assist the video analysis team with coding and labeling trainings, matches, and other sessions.
• Assist with opposition scouting video analysis.
• Manage the recording schedule for home games.
• Help prepare pregame presentations for coaching staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
