About The Position
The Phlebotomy Specialist II collects patient specimens in inpatient and outpatient settings, following proper protocols for patient identification, vein and tube selection, and specimen labeling. The specialist promotes exceptional customer service and helps foster a professional, customer-centric setting that contributes to a positive and productive work environment. The role requires travel to offsite locations and flexibility to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to collect specimens from adult and pediatric patients in a hospital, outpatient, or long-term care facility.
- Reasoning ability and sound independent judgment.
- Strong interpersonal, computer, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under stress and contribute to a team environment.
- Willingness to work different shifts, weekends, and/or holidays.
Nice To Haves
- Training in a phlebotomy program.
- Phlebotomy certification.
Responsibilities
