About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist in Racine, Wisconsin. The role performs blood and other specimen collections, prepares specimens for testing, maintains accurate patient and specimen records, and provides customer service. The position may require travel to additional sites and overtime as needed. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with start times between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. and end times between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. It also includes an every-other-weekend rotation from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and rotating holidays. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Comfort working under minimal supervision.
Reliable transportation and a clean driving record, if applicable.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
If relying on certification or a training program in lieu of work experience, it must be from an accredited agency.

Nice To Haves

Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or six months or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
Process billing information and collect payments when required.
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
Travel to additional sites when needed.
