About The Position

MUSC East Cooper Women’s is a women’s health outpatient clinic in Mount Pleasant. The phlebotomist draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records, and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. The role may include finger-prick blood collection and conducting interviews, taking vital signs, and drawing and testing blood samples to screen blood-bank donors. The specialty clinic operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no holidays or weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–6 months of work experience.
• Completed accredited phlebotomy certificate course.
• Meet the stated physical requirements, including standing, walking and sitting; bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and reaching; use of both hands and legs and finger dexterity; repetitive motions; physical qualification for respirator use; corrected 20/40 vision; working in a latex-safe indoor environment; and the stated lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling abilities.

Responsibilities
