About The Position

The Patient Services Representative (PSR) represents the company to patients and collects blood samples for laboratory testing. The PSR explains procedures and draws specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately while building patient trust and protecting confidential and accurate patient information. Work may be assigned to a doctor’s office, patient service center, or another location based on business needs. Under the area supervisor’s direction, the PSR performs daily activities accurately and on time, maintains a safe and professional environment, and carries out forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing according to established procedures. The role includes confirming patient demographic information and initials, obtaining the patient’s signature after venipuncture to verify that tubes were labeled in the patient’s presence and correctly, and maintaining required records. The PSR demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public. This is a temporary agency labor position supporting a busy location. The role requires flexible availability to work across multiple locations and cover patient service center or in-office phlebotomy locations, sometimes with minimal notice.
