Pharmacy Technician, Back End Full Time

About The Position

Omnicare is a leading provider of pharmacy services to long-term care facilities, including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other institutional care settings. Following Omnicare’s sale by CVS Health, this position will be employed by Omnicare and support its continued operations as an independent, standalone organization. The Back-End Pharmacy Technician helps ensure patients’ medication needs and regulatory standards are met. The role works across assigned workstations in a closed-door pharmacy, supporting medication order fulfillment, packaging and dispensing, accuracy checks, stock rotation, and timely, accurate shipments. This is a full-time position with 40 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

Be a certified, licensed, or registered pharmacy technician, as required by state law.
Have one or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.
Have a verifiable high school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in the long-term care industry.
Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
PTCB National Certification.
Five or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Rotate and work in assigned pharmacy workstations, including Packaging, Staging, Returns, Receiving, Narcotics, IV, Ekit, Compounding, Omnicell Cycle Fill, and Machine Packaging.
Receive product deliveries, pull and stage products for distribution, rotate stock, and coordinate activities with drivers to ensure accurate shipments and timely deliveries.
Perform physical inventories of medication.
Support order fulfillment in a closed-door pharmacy, including packaging and dispensing medications and reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy.
