Pharmacy Technician, Back End Full Time

About The Position

Omnicare is seeking a Back-End Pharmacy Technician to support medication fulfillment and meet regulatory standards for patients in long-term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, and chronic care settings. The role works in a closed-door pharmacy and rotates among assigned workstations, including packaging, staging, returns, receiving, narcotics, IV, Ekit, compounding, Omnicell Cycle Fill, and machine packaging. The position supports accurate order fulfillment, medication packaging and dispensing, delivery review, stock rotation, inventory, and timely distribution. Following Omnicare’s sale by CVS Health, the employee will work for Omnicare as an independent, standalone organization and will not remain within CVS Health after the transaction.

Requirements

Certification, licensure, or registration as a pharmacy technician, or as required by state law.
At least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.
Verifiable high school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in the long-term care industry.
Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
PTCB National Certification.
Five or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Rotate and work in various assigned pharmacy workstations, including Packaging, Staging, Returns, Receiving, Narcotics, IV, Ekit, Compounding, Omnicell Cycle Fill, and Machine Packaging.
Receive product deliveries, pull and stage product for distribution, rotate stock, and coordinate activities with drivers to ensure shipments are accurate and deliveries are timely.
Perform physical inventories of medication.
Support order fulfillment, including packaging and dispensing medication and reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy.
