About The Position

Omnicare is hiring a Back-End Pharmacy Technician to support medication fulfillment and regulatory standards in a closed-door pharmacy serving skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other institutional care settings. The role works across assigned pharmacy workstations, including Packaging, Staging, Returns, Receiving, Narcotics, IV, Ekit, Compounding, Omnicell Cycle Fill, and Machine Packaging. The technician receives deliveries, prepares and stages product for distribution, rotates stock, coordinates with drivers to support accurate and timely shipments, reviews delivery orders and bins for accuracy, and performs physical medication inventories. The position is employed by Omnicare, which is described as operating independently following its sale by CVS Health.

Requirements

Certification, licensure, or registration as a pharmacy technician, or as required by state law.
At least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.
Verifiable high school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in the long-term care industry.
Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
PTCB National Certification.
Five or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Rotate and work in various assigned pharmacy workstations, including Packaging, Staging, Returns, Receiving, Narcotics, IV, Ekit, Compounding, Omnicell Cycle Fill, and Machine Packaging.
Receive product deliveries, pull and stage product for distribution, rotate stock, and coordinate activities with drivers to ensure shipments are accurate and deliveries are timely.
Perform physical inventories of medication.
Help ensure medication needs and regulatory standards are met for patients.
Package and dispense medications and review delivery orders and bins for accuracy.
