About The Position

The Back-End Pharmacy Technician works in a closed-door pharmacy supporting medication fulfillment and regulatory standards for patients. The role rotates among assigned pharmacy workstations, helping with packaging and dispensing medication, checking delivery orders and bins for accuracy, coordinating stock rotations, receiving deliveries, staging products for distribution, and ensuring shipments are accurate and timely. The technician also performs physical inventories of medication and coordinates activities with drivers.

Requirements

Certification, licensure, or registration as a pharmacy technician, as required by state law.
At least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.
Verifiable high school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in the long-term care industry.
Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
PTCB National Certification.
At least five years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Rotate among assigned pharmacy workstations, including Packaging, Staging, Returns, Receiving, Narcotics, IV, Ekit, Compounding, Omnicell Cycle Fill, and Machine Packaging.
Support medication packaging and dispensing in a closed-door pharmacy setting.
Review delivery orders and bins for accuracy.
Receive product deliveries, pull and stage products for distribution, and rotate stock.
Coordinate activities with drivers to ensure shipments are accurate and deliveries are timely.
Perform physical inventories of medication.
Help ensure medication needs and regulatory standards are met for patients.
