About The Position

Guardian Pharmacy of Colorado is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support cycle-fill operations at its Denver pharmacy. The position trains, leads, and serves as a resource to other fulfillment technicians and assists pharmacy management with daily workflow and scheduling to ensure adequate staffing and resources. The technician helps ensure medications are accurately prepared for scheduled courier departures, supports inventory management, and works with supervisors and other functional areas to keep operations efficient and deadlines on track. The role requires strong attention to accuracy, productivity, teamwork, and compliance with applicable laws and pharmacy policies. The schedule is 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with flexible hours possible. The posted pay range is $22.00–$26.00.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, as required by state regulations.
Pharmacy technician license, certification, or registration, as required by state regulations.
At least 1 year of long-term care pharmacy experience, including 1 year as a Fulfillment Technician II or III.
Pharmacy software experience.
Ability to extract reports.
Proficiency with computer applications related to department operations and job duties.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Ability to solve problems with minimal direction.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while adhering to strict deadlines.
Quality-minded approach, including identifying errors, investigating inaccuracies, and resolving them as appropriate.

Nice To Haves

National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform all duties of a Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician II at above-standard performance levels.
Schedule fulfillment technician staff to provide adequate workflow coverage while minimizing overtime as appropriate.
Work with the Fulfillment Supervisor or Manager to evaluate workflow processes and help implement changes needed to meet deadlines.
Ensure medications are complete and accurate before scheduled departures, allowing sufficient time for courier delivery preparation.
Prioritize and assign workflow to fulfillment technicians and monitor their productivity and accuracy.
Participate in training fulfillment staff on assigned workflow areas and processes within established timeframes.
Serve as a subject matter expert and departmental resource across most fulfillment workflows.
Provide input on performance evaluations in coordination with the Director of Operations.
Communicate medication inventory needs and help maintain appropriate inventory levels, including removing expired or unused medications, marking used bottles, assisting with physical inventory, and keeping stock neat and arranged in order.
Exceed established pharmacy accuracy and productivity levels.
Lead by example in attitude, dependability, commitment, productivity, efficiency, and adherence to policies and procedures.
Collaborate with other supervisors and functional areas to keep work flowing smoothly and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and orderly workstation, put medications away, and replenish stock supplies.
Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies governing prescription medication dispensing.
Perform other essential functions and duties as assigned.
