About The Position

Omnicare is a provider of pharmacy services to long-term care facilities, including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other institutional care settings. This role will be employed by Omnicare as it continues operations as an independent, standalone organization following its sale by CVS Health. The Back-End Pharmacy Technician works in a closed-door pharmacy to help meet patients’ medication needs and regulatory standards. The role rotates among assigned pharmacy workstations and supports order fulfillment, medication packaging and dispensing, order and bin accuracy checks, stock rotation, deliveries, and inventory. The position is full-time, with 40 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

Certification, licensure, or registration as a pharmacy technician, or as required by state law.
At least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.
Verifiable high school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in the long-term care industry.
Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
PTCB National Certification.
Five or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Rotate and work in assigned pharmacy workstations, including Packaging, Staging, Returns, Receiving, Narcotics, IV, Ekit, Compounding, Omnicell Cycle Fill, and Machine Packaging.
Receive product deliveries, pull and stage product for distribution, rotate stock, and coordinate activities with drivers to ensure shipment accuracy and timely deliveries.
Perform physical inventories of medication.
Support order fulfillment in a closed-door pharmacy, including packaging and dispensing medication and reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy.
