About The Position

Ingles Markets is a regional grocery store chain with just under 200 retail locations operating in six southeastern states, along with a distribution center, truck fleets, and a milk processing plant. Associates work together to provide customers with a quality, hometown shopping experience, including greeting customers and offering assistance.

The Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist on duty by expediting prescription filling and delivering exceptional customer service. The technician prepares computer software systems for the pharmacist’s use and distributes prescriptions to patients after the pharmacist has performed all necessary dispensing duties. On-the-job training is available, with team support for those new to the environment. Full- and part-time positions are available.

Requirements

• Exceptional customer service skills.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. In Georgia and North Carolina, candidates must be currently enrolled in high school or have a high school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Previous pharmacy experience is a plus.
• Pharmacy Technician certification; additional pay is offered for certification.
