About The Position
The Pharmacy Technician provides pharmaceutical services to staff as a member of the pharmacy team. The role includes preparing medications for dispensing, maintaining inventory, and performing administrative and operational functions that support the Pharmaceutical Services Department. The Pharmacy Technician also performs patient-care-related services that indirectly affect each patient’s quality of care.
Requirements
- Pharmacy Technician licensure.
Nice To Haves
- At least 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience.
- At least 1 year of IV compounding experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare medications for dispensing for patient administration using appropriate techniques.
- Maintain adequate inventory of pharmacy supplies and medications in the pharmacy and patient-care areas.
- Perform patient-care-related services that indirectly affect patients’ quality of care.
- Perform administrative and operational functions in support of the Pharmaceutical Services Department.
