Saliba’s Extended Care Pharmacy, a member of the Guardian family of pharmacies, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Customer Service professional to join their rapidly growing team in Phoenix, Arizona. Requirements

  • Active Pharmacy Technician license required
  • Call center or phone-based customer service experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED, required
  • Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements)
  • 2+ years of related experience (advanced degree may substitute for experience)
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
  • Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
  • Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate

Nice To Haves

  • National Certification preferred (PTCB)
  • pharmacy operations system experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to the facilities in taking orders, answering questions, referring information and phone calls to the appropriate departments.
  • Answering phone calls from facilities in a timely manner while being professional and courteous.
  • Creating telephone order for refills, new orders, and/or backup and triaging into the appropriate queues for Order Entry staff to complete.
  • Refill orders in pharmacy computer system if facility calls and request (if not complicated).
  • Follow up with customers as needed (if you told a customer you would return their phone call, call them back in a timely manner).
  • Answering facility questions or referring them to the proper resource for answer.
  • Take Credit Card information over the phone for payments.
  • Work with Medical Records to update on resident information, or anything else that is changed. Make telephone orders for medical records and send to appropriate queues for medical records.
  • Take orders from Doctor’s offices and triaging to appropriate queues.
  • Check assigned facility faxes daily; any issues, contact Order Entry.
  • Link delivery sheets into Docutrack.
  • Check original prescriptions sent in tote or by mail, scan into Docutrack and link. If they haven’t been completed leave note for OE to address.
