About The Position

This internship will provide exposure to all areas of pharmacy operations including interactions with pharmacists and technicians regarding utilization of tools, resources and solutions provided to member pharmacies while working on projects designed to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance customer experience to pharmacy education development and delivery.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a healthcare degree program (pharmacy or other health care major) at an accredited college or university
• Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment
• Experience using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills

Nice To Haves

• Leadership roles in student organizations preferred
• Texas intern or pharmacy technician registration preferred
• Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in the healthcare industry upon graduation

Responsibilities

• Assist in data analysis efforts to evaluate current processes and procedures for opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual intervention and implement technology solutions where appropriate
• Support process improvement initiatives across various functional groups within Specialty Pharmacy Operations
• Provide assistance to cross-functional teams as needed for special projects
• Work with members of the support team to solve customer problems
• Attend team meetings to stay abreast of key initiatives and learn from subject matter experts
• Learn and apply industry best practices in analyzing data sets to drive actionable insights
