About The Position

AIFP is seeking motivated and driven interns for its 2027 Summer Internship Program. Interns will learn about the building products industry and contribute to a wholesale-distribution-manufacturing organization focused on creating value for its customers, employees, and community. The role offers exposure to the company’s products, processes, customer relationships, and end-use applications in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and mentorship are emphasized.

Interns will gain hands-on experience across logistics, marketing, supply chain, and customer engagement, including supporting operations and special projects. The program is intended for competitive, energetic individuals who are curious about the industry and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Learn about the business, including its products, processes, customer relationships, and end-use applications.
• Shadow and assist the logistics and supply chain team to understand key operations.
• Research and organize inactive customer accounts by geographic region to identify new opportunities.
• Observe and participate in inventory management processes.
• Respond to inquiries from potential customers and support credit application reviews.
• Contribute to special projects that enhance operations and business strategy.
