About The Position

The Pharmacy Pre-Grad Intern supports Walmart’s community pharmacy team while gaining hands-on experience in patient care. The role helps improve customer health and wellness, advocates for patient wellbeing, and contributes to the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy products and services. The intern is paid and supports the pharmacy team’s goals.

Requirements

Be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
Build relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
Address individual patient needs.
Follow HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Nice To Haves

Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.
Enthusiasm for participating in community activities, outreach, and events.

Responsibilities

Maintain the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and applicable local, state, and federal guidelines.
Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
Provide patient care by recognizing patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
