About The Position

The Pharmacy Grad Intern supports Walmart pharmacy operations while gaining hands-on experience in a community pharmacy setting. The role helps improve customer health and wellness, advocates for patient well-being, and supports clinical care, customer safety, and compliance with legal and company policies. The intern processes prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases, assists with patient care, and helps receive and stock pharmacy merchandise and supplies.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in the final year at an accredited pharmacy school.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
• Have an excellent ability to foster relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
• Be able to cater to individual patient needs.
• Commit to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

• Bachelor of Science.
• Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records according to Company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
• Deliver patient care by recognizing the patient, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
• Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
