About The Position

The Pharmacy Grad Intern supports Walmart pharmacy operations and helps promote customer health and well-being in a community pharmacy setting. The role provides hands-on experience in patient care, prescription and over-the-counter order processing, merchandise handling, and pharmacy operations. The intern works with the pharmacy team to provide clinical care while following applicable legal requirements and company policies.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in the final year at an accredited pharmacy school.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
• Build effective relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
• Address individual patient needs.
• Follow HIPAA and protected health information (PHI) guidelines.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science degree.
• Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
• Provide patient care by recognizing patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Help manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
• Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
