About The Position

As a Pharmacy Grad Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a community pharmacy while supporting customer health and wellness, patient well-being, and pharmacy operations. Walmart's pharmacy team focuses on customer care, safety, clinical care, and compliance with legal and company policies. The role includes helping patients navigate clinical therapies and supporting prescription and over-the-counter orders, merchandise, and inventory. The position is intended for someone enrolled in the final year of an accredited pharmacy school.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in the final year at an accredited pharmacy school.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
• Have the ability to foster relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
• Be capable of addressing individual patient needs.
• Commit to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Protect confidential information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
• Recognize patients, assess their needs, and help them navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
• Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
