Pharmacy Delivery Driver
About The Position
Hy-Vee is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Pharmacy Delivery Driver to deliver prescriptions directly to customers safely, promptly, and professionally. Drivers represent Hy-Vee in customers’ homes and communities, providing friendly service and protecting confidential medical information in accordance with HIPAA. The position involves driving and maintaining a delivery vehicle, assisting in other store areas as needed, and working with coworkers to support customer satisfaction. Training is provided. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.

- Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner.
- Ability to identify problems and independently develop and execute solutions.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions and communicate supply needs orally or in writing.
- Ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential patient information.
- Valid driver’s license with no DOT restrictions.
- Must be at least 18 years old to drive a company vehicle.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, friendly customer service and make each customer interaction positive.
- Deliver pharmacy customers’ prescriptions to specified locations in a timely and professional manner.
- Enter and exit the delivery vehicle multiple times per shift and navigate stairs and varying terrain to reach delivery destinations.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean inside and out.
- Facilitate vehicle maintenance and upkeep and promptly report issues.
- Protect customers’ private medical information in accordance with HIPAA.
- Work with coworkers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
- Assist in other areas of the store and take on special projects as assigned.
- Follow personal hygiene and dress standards, Hy-Vee policies, and store guidelines.
- Report to work as scheduled and on time.
