About The Position

This role involves performing essential technical services for the Pharmacist, including the accurate preparation of hazardous and non-hazardous medications for patient delivery. The Pharmacy Advocate Technician will manage and optimize pharmacy logistics, including maintaining automated dispensing systems, preparing orders, and ensuring an efficient, accurate inventory of supplies. They will support the care team by providing key distributive pharmacy services and technical assistance for the Pharmacist. Additionally, this role serves as a primary communication liaison by triaging incoming calls and relaying essential information between the pharmacy, patients, and other health professionals to facilitate coordinated care. The technician will also facilitate the Meds2Beds Discharge Service and home delivery programs, maintaining a direct liaison between providers and patients to improve medication turnaround times.

Requirements

  • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience.
  • Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
