About The Position

PharmcareUSA is seeking a full-time team member for its West Chester, Ohio pharmacy, working overnight on a schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off. The posting identifies the role as “Pharmacist - Overnight,” but its description refers to a Pharmacy Technician and requires a certified registered technician in good standing with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy. Prior long-term care pharmacy data entry experience is a plus.

The position supports pharmacy operations for a closed-door, long-term care pharmacy serving nursing and assisted living facilities and hospice residents. Duties include prescription data entry and filling, assisting the pharmacist, preparing medications for delivery, and supporting inventory, returns, and E-kit management.

Requirements

• Be a certified registered technician in good standing with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
• Be able to use standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
• Be able to operate a computer and other office equipment such as calculators, copy machines, and printers.
• Be able to talk and hear to communicate effectively by phone and in person.
• Be able to see to recognize medications, detect inaccuracies, and observe others’ work, with or without correction.
• Be able to stand for long periods and walk, bend, kneel, reach, and stoop.
• Be able to lift or transport materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Be able to tolerate a normal office/pharmacy environment and exposure to various medications.

Nice To Haves

• Prior long-term care pharmacy data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Enter physician orders and E-kit usage into the dispensing system.
• Manage admissions paperwork.
• Assist the pharmacist with input when appropriate, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
• Fill prescriptions and perform IV compounding accurately and at a reasonable speed.
• Fill prescriptions in accordance with applicable regulatory rules and regulations.
• Answer telephone calls, assist callers when appropriate, or refer them to the pharmacist.
• Prepare medications for delivery to facilities according to the delivery schedule.
• Assist with ordering medications from the wholesaler and managing inventory.
• Assist with medication returns and E-kit management.
