About The Position

We are hiring for Pharmacist Resident positions at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK! Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, 8-hr Variable shifts, 40 hours per week. The Pharmacy Practice Residency is a one-year post-graduate residency program in an institutional practice setting that provides training as set forth and approved by the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ASHP). The program will provide the opportunity to advance the resident's pharmacy practice beyond entry-level professional competence and develop the skills, knowledge, and attitude necessary for the provision of high-quality pharmaceutical care. Pharmacy practice activities are performed within the context of established policies, procedures and techniques of the individual ministry and division in which the resident is employed, as well as federal and state standards and statutes. The resident is expected to perform all duties in a manner which reflects Providence Health Service's mission and philosophy. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Requirements

  • Graduated from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Alaska Pharmacist Intern License upon hire.
  • Alaska Pharmacist License within 120 days of hire unless otherwise outlined by program policy.

Nice To Haves

  • PharmD
  • Experience in hospital pharmacy practices as a student, intern, or pharmacist.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy
  • Demonstrated drug knowledge, IV knowledge, and compounding ability
