Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology or Clinical Lab Science or Education and training equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical or biological science with sufficient clinical laboratory experience on human specimens to meet Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) certification requirements through a nationally accrediting agency, e.g. American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
- Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist – American Society for Clinical Pathology
- Within 1 year of hire: National Clinical Laboratory Scientist – American Society for Clinical Pathology
- Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Technologist – American Association of Bioanalysts
- Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Technologist – American Medical Technologists
- Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Technologist – American Society for Clinical Pathology
