About The Position

SDS-Rx is seeking delivery contractors for pharmaceutical deliveries in Lafayette, Louisiana. This is backup work averaging two days per week, on any day from Monday through Sunday, with the possibility of growing into more work over time. Drivers use their own vehicle and smartphone to complete accepted delivery jobs, transporting pharmaceuticals and equipment to people in need. Packages are delivered rather than passengers.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have held a valid driver’s license for at least three years.
• Must have no more than three combined at-fault accidents and/or moving violations in the past three years.
• Must own a vehicle; this route requires a 2011 or newer sedan or larger vehicle.
• Must carry current vehicle insurance and meet the minimum $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury coverage requirement.
• Must have a spotless driving record, as stated in the opening description.

Responsibilities

• Follow delivery routes and time schedules for accepted routes or jobs.
• Deliver pharmaceuticals and equipment.
• Use a personal vehicle to complete accepted delivery jobs.
• Load and unload totes or bags, which are generally under 20 pounds.
• Handle delivery paperwork as instructed.
• Use a personal smartphone to enter delivery information.
