Chevron offers a competency-based employee development program for recent graduates, typically including two to three technical assignments in the first five years, supported by training, mentoring, and on-the-job experience. Mobility is encouraged, with potential opportunities for assignments in different locations, including overseas after ten or more years of experience. Other potential career paths include asset team leadership, business planning, joint venture management, operations supervision, portfolio development, and project management. Engineers will solve challenging technical problems using digital technologies.
