About The Position

Pet Stylists work as experienced groomers in busy salons, grooming dogs and, if certified, cats of all sizes and temperaments. They provide grooming services that help pets look their best, including brushing, nail trimming, and add-on services. The company is employee-owned and operated, is expanding, and offers opportunities for growth. It has more than 80 locations across 26 states and has been in business for 30 years.

Requirements

At least 1–2 years of experience after school or professional training.
High school diploma.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds.
Ability to work around disinfectant and sanitation chemicals, animal dander, and animal excretions.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong communication skills.
Love of animals and patience when handling pets.
Professional manner at all times.

Dependability and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Consult with customers and comply with their requests to ensure satisfaction.
Interact with customers in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
Start shifts on time and finish pets before the promised time.
Perform all aspects of grooming to the company’s quality expectations.
Groom all breeds, style all fur types, and complete specific breed styles requested by clients.
Work in an organized and hygienic manner; keep the work area free of hair and clutter and sanitize tools and compartments between pets.
Understand the purpose of products, use them appropriately, and follow label directions.
Help the Manager maintain inventory by reporting stock levels.
Care for equipment and tools, assist with simple maintenance, and report mechanical failures to the Manager in writing.
Coordinate with the Manager and center staff to help the salon run smoothly and meet service and product quality expectations.
