About The Position

The Pet Retail Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining the store's appearance and organization. This role involves engaging with customers, assisting them with their needs, informing them about promotions, and ensuring merchandise is well-presented and stocked. The associate will also be responsible for general housekeeping, participating in the freight process, and operating store equipment.

Requirements

Knowledge of principles and processes for providing exceptional customer service.
Knowledge of customer service, sales, and marketing procedures.
Knowledge of store procedures and proper use of equipment.
Excellent communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service by greeting, assisting, and engaging with customers helpfully and courteously.
Answer incoming phone calls and attend to customers simultaneously.
Inform customers of current sales and promotions.
Direct customers by escorting them to racks and counters.
Complete general housekeeping of the store, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
Work with management to arrange and rotate items and displays on the sales floor, keeping merchandise organized and easily accessible to customers.
Organize, stock, and restock shelves with available products.
Drive sales by engaging customers, sharing product knowledge, and recommending products.
Reinforce safety by identifying unsafe conditions and reporting to management.
Promote trust and respect among personnel.
Participate in the freight process as needed.
Operate the cardboard baler.
Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
Comply with company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
