Associate, PET

VaynerMedia LLCNew York, NY

About The Position

VaynerX is looking for a high-energy, detail-obsessed Associate to join our People and Experience Team (PET). This role supports both the business partner and people operations disciplines on the team. You will be the backbone of our team’s data integrity, the coordinator of our logistics, and the administrative force that keeps our people initiatives moving at the speed of culture. We’re looking for a "doer," someone who finds peace in a perfectly organized spreadsheet, thrives on efficiency, and is ready to roll up their sleeves to help us build the greatest human organization in the world. This is an opportunity for someone deeply passionate about people to learn the "how" and "why" behind every facet of a modern people function. At Vayner, we are a team of teachers and lifelong learners. We love to train and mentor, but we are equally excited to have our own thinking challenged and expanded by new perspectives. You will be joining a team with incredible institutional knowledge and heart as some of our PET members have been with Vayner since day one, over 17 years ago. We believe fundamentally in the work we are doing and take immense pride in being of service to this organization and its people.

Requirements

  • Unrivaled Attention to Detail: You catch the typos and data discrepancies that others miss. You understand that "small things" are actually "big things."
  • Strategic Problem Solving: You don’t just flag problems; you bring potential solutions to the table. You have strong critical thinking skills.
  • Data Fluency: You are comfortable with learning reporting tools, specifically Google Sheets.
  • Tech Savvy: Native-level fluency in G Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), comfortable learning new tools and systems quickly (i.e. HiBob) and a genuine curiosity for how AI can make our jobs easier.
  • Growth Mindset: You are hungry to learn, evolve, and push PET forward. You thrive in feedback-rich environments.
  • Discretion: You understand the sensitive nature of People data and can be trusted with the highest level of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Own the entry and maintenance of employee data across our people systems, ensuring 100% accuracy at all times.
  • Manage and execute regular data reporting. You’ll identify trends and provide the "story" behind the numbers to help lead our people initiatives.
  • Maintain department digital files with precision (resignation notes, exit summaries, performance check-ins, etc.).
  • Provide support to the resourcing function, including managing employee transitions and keeping internal org charts updated in real-time.
  • Manage internal training logistics from scheduling and platform setup to attendee tracking.
  • Act as the "closer" for key organizational initiatives, ensuring the agency stays on top of timesheets, performance check-ins, and new hire onboarding milestones.
  • Assist in building decks for internal presentations that communicate our PET strategy to the wider agency.
  • Help us stay ahead of the curve by researching and implementing AI tools and system hacks that streamline our workflows and create PET efficiencies.
  • Tackle various special projects and administrative requests as they arise in our fast-paced environment.
