About The Position

This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a pet retail environment. Key duties include engaging with customers, informing them about sales and promotions, maintaining store organization and cleanliness, stocking shelves, and driving sales through product knowledge and recommendations. The associate will also be responsible for safety, teamwork, and adhering to company policies.

Requirements

Knowledge of principles and processes for providing exceptional customer service.
Knowledge of customer service, sales, and marketing procedures.
Knowledge of store procedures and proper use of equipment.
Excellent communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service.
Greet, assist, and engage with customers helpfully and courteously.
Answer incoming phone calls and attend to customers simultaneously.
Inform customers of current sales and promotions.
Direct customers by escorting them to racks and counters.
Complete general housekeeping of the store, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
Work with management to arrange and rotate items and displays on the sales floor, keeping merchandise organized and easily accessible to customers.
Responsible for organizing, stocking, and restocking shelves with available products.
Drive sales by engaging customers, sharing product knowledge, and recommending products.
Reinforce safety by identifying unsafe conditions and reporting to management.
Promote trust and respect among personnel.
Participate in the freight process as needed.
Operate the cardboard baler.
Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
Comply with company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
