About The Position

Orkin is hiring a Pest Control Service Technician and provides company-paid training; no pest-control industry experience is required. The technician learns to operate a pest-control service route and provides residential and commercial customers with pest-management services. The role involves driving a company vehicle within an assigned territory, communicating with customers, identifying suitable pest solutions, and completing service documentation using a handheld device. A pesticide license must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment, with the cost paid by the company.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment.
• Ability to work independently in the field, manage route-based assignments, and interact with customers.
• Ability to safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, and rooftops, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment, sometimes including an OSHA-compliant respirator.
• Willingness to work in different weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Complete company-paid training and learn the skills needed to operate a pest-control service route.
• Drive a company vehicle and follow a route schedule within the assigned territory, arriving at each customer location safely and on time.
• Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and discuss additional services that meet their needs.
• Determine efficient pest-management solutions suited to each customer's needs.
• Complete required service documentation using a company-provided handheld device.
