About The Position

Orkin is hiring a Pest Control Service Technician and provides award-winning, company-paid training; no industry experience is required. The technician learns to operate a pest control service route, travels in a company vehicle within an assigned territory, and provides pest management services to residential and commercial customers. The role involves understanding customer needs, recommending appropriate pest solutions and additional services, documenting work using a handheld device, and working independently in the field. A pesticide license must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment, with the cost paid by the company. The position pays $18.00 to $22.00 per hour. A company vehicle and gas card are provided upon route assignment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment; the company pays for it.
• Ability to work independently in the field, manage route-based assignments, and interact with customers.
• Meet physical job requirements and safely perform duties with or without accommodations, including ladder use within its manufacturer weight capacity, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, accessing crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces and rooftops, and climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
• Wear personal protective equipment, sometimes including an OSHA-compliant respirator.
• Willingness to work in different weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Complete company-paid training and learn the skills required to operate a pest control service route.
• Drive a company vehicle and follow a route schedule within the assigned territory, arriving at each customer location safely and on time.
• Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and discuss additional services that address their needs.
• Determine efficient and appropriate pest management solutions for customers.
• Complete required service documentation using a company-provided handheld device.
