About The Position

Salus is hiring Personal Care Assistants/Caregivers for multiple cases in West Los Angeles and surrounding areas, including Santa Monica, Venice, Culver City, Beverly Hills, West and North Hollywood, Westwood, Brentwood, Century City, Pacific Palisades, and Bel Air. Morning, weekend, and overnight cases are available, with both part-time shifts of 4–6 hours and full-time shifts of 8–12 hours. The role involves providing companionship and personal care, assisting with daily activities and mobility, transporting clients when needed, and communicating concerns to the office. Availability seven days a week is requested, and candidates can start now.

Requirements

Homecare Aide Certification (HCA), a California state requirement involving registration as a Personal Attendant and Live Scan fingerprinting for an FBI background check; Salus can assist with the process if the applicant is not currently certified.
TB test completed within 90 days of the start date.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Physical capability to perform all job functions.
A safe driving record and valid auto insurance if driving clients.

Responsibilities

Serve as a companion to clients.
Arrive at clients’ homes on time.
Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, oral hygiene, meal preparation and feeding, dressing and undressing, ambulation, and other activities as needed.
Transport clients to and from appointments, errands, and activities.
Turn and reposition clients and move them between beds, wheelchairs, and seats.
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in meeting client needs.
Maintain the confidentiality of client information according to HIPAA standards.
Notify the office of abnormal findings or conditions.
Represent the company positively at all times.
