About The Position

Salus is seeking Personal Care Assistants/Caregivers to fill multiple cases in the San Gabriel Valley, including Alhambra, San Gabriel, Monterey Park, Rosemead, West Covina, Hacienda Heights, and surrounding areas. Available shifts include mornings, afternoons, weekends, and overnights. Part-time shifts are 4–6 hours and pay $20.00–$23.00 per hour; full-time shifts are 8–12 hours and pay $19.00–$20.00 per hour. The posting states that candidates may be hired within 72 hours and that applicants should have availability seven days a week and be ready to start now.

Requirements

Home Care Aide (HCA) certification, which requires California registration as a Personal Attendant and Livescan fingerprinting for an FBI background check; Salus can assist candidates who are not currently certified.
TB test completed within 90 days of the start date.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
Physical ability to perform all job functions.
If driving clients, a safe driving record and valid auto insurance.

Responsibilities

Serve as a companion to clients.
Arrive at clients’ homes on time.
Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, oral hygiene, meal preparation and feeding, dressing and undressing, ambulation, and other activities as needed.
Transport clients to and from appointments, errands, and activities.
Turn and reposition clients, and move them between beds, wheelchairs, and seats.
Adapt flexibly to clients’ needs.
Maintain confidentiality of client information according to HIPAA standards.
Notify the office of abnormal findings or conditions.
Represent the company positively.
