Seasonal Personal Stylist Support - South Coast Plaza
About The Position
The Personal Stylist Support employee assists customers over the phone and at checkout with sales, returns, and other transactions while delivering excellent customer service. The role helps keep service quick, easy, and enjoyable by listening to customer needs and sharing fashion knowledge. It also supports the department by keeping the cash wrap area and sales floor organized, clean, and stocked; staying informed about fashion trends and products; and sharing information about events, Nordstrom gift cards, and Nordstrom Rewards. The employee may also support other store areas, including order fulfillment and order pick-up.
Requirements
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organization and follow-through.
- Problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency with computers and interest in learning new computer applications.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
- Ability to move continuously for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
- Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
- Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers over the phone and at checkout with sales, returns, and other transactions.
- Listen to customer needs and provide friendly, efficient service and fashion guidance.
- Keep the department runway ready by straightening, lightly cleaning, and restocking the cash wrap area and sales floor.
- Stay informed about key fashion trends and products to help customers with purchase decisions.
- Build customer relationships by sharing information about upcoming events, Nordstrom gift cards, and the Nordstrom Rewards program.
- Support other store areas as needed, including order fulfillment and order pick-up.
